Danny Gabbard, Sr. began his ministry with the Kent Christian Church in April of 1999. He came to Indiana after serving 7 years at the First Christian Church in Cocoa, FL. There he helped the church through a relocation process which moved them from less than an acre of property, to 10 acres of prime real estate. He is currently in his 29th year of active ministry with the last 26 of those years in the pulpit. He has held ministries in Florida, Kansas, and Indiana. He is a 1985 graduate of Florida Christian College. From there, he went on to get his Master of Arts in Religion degree right next door at Anderson University. In 1996 he received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary in Tacoma, WA. His major was in Missions with a minor in Preaching and Theology. He served as Professor in Bible and Theology at Louisville Bible College from 2000-2007. He has been an approved Professor with Summit Theological Seminary since 1994. Danny has served on the mission field in Jamaica from 1988-1998 in a part time capacity. Most recently, in 1994, along with the help of the church in Cocoa, Florida he helped establish the Jamaica Christian College in Kingston, Jamaica. He served as president of this institution from its beginning in 1994 until 1998. The school is now self supporting and continues to train Jamaican men to serve as leaders in their congregations. He is married to Jennifer, his wife of 34 years. They have one daughter, Renee who is married. They also have two boys..... Danny II is married and lives in Louisville.....and Seth is in the U.S. Army. He is very proud of his wife who did a wonderful job homeschooling their children. She is now teaching in Kent Christian Academy.....Kent Church's Christian school. Danny and his wife are also Grandparents of twins......a boy (Layne Evan) a girl (Lynlee Rose) and another girl (Lauryn Raye). Danny has articles published in The Christian Standard and The Restoration Herald to name a few. He has spoken throughout the country including Hillsboro Family Camp. He is an avid outdoorsman who is especially fond of bowhunting, and running his two rabbit beagles, "Dexter", and "Bo."
